Even when fog surrounds me

And the way seems unclear

Lord, I trust you to lead me and

Give me strength to persevere.

For today is your day, Father,

And I feel that you are near.

Lord, shine your light to guide me

Through the haze of shame and fear,

Be the lamp unto my feet, Oh God,

The light my path makes clear;

A faithful servant I will ever be,

I plea that you will hear

My deepest, loving gratitude for

The blessing paid most dear.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119‬:‭105‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Recent flooding and tragedies have happened in my community. The loss of children before we were ready and flooding has led to loss. God promises beauty for ashes in the wake of mourning (Isaiah 61:3). John 1:5 (NIV) says, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

Friends, look up! Look up to the Lord and find the light in the darkness. Don't be overwhelmed by the darkness; instead, look to the light through God's word.

Best,

Michelle
