I've recently learned that I'm highly privileged and greatly blessed. Like Julie said last week, I also had a bit of time getting away from me at the end of the spring semester. In addition to a lot of things going on at work, a lot of things were going on in my family life. At one point, my 82-year-old dad told my 51-year-old self to go to my room and "pray at least five gratitudes right now!" This is also how I know I am highly privileged and greatly blessed: my good father encourages and commands that I have a relationship with my God-father, my Adonai, my Abba (not the "Dancing Queen" kind, the God the father kind).
One of the beautiful privileges of God's blessings was going to see the exhibit that resulted from my daughter's Internship through History Colorado and a concert featuring Yo Yo Ma.
Below is Maggie with part of her exhibit:

I'm still floating a bit on the ethereal cloud of awe at such talent! And seeing Yo Yo Ma was frosting on the cake. For the gift of all this,
Thank you, God, for fair weather.
Thank you, God, for safe traveling on land and in the air. Thank you, God, for the educators, mentors, and other supporters that have helped my daughter achieve her career dreams.
Thank you, God, for my daughter and my son and for making them wonderfully and uniquely them.
Thank you, God, for the beautiful music that you have gifted through the talent of Yo-Yo Ma. Truly, I enjoyed one of the most captivating performances I've had the honor of viewing and especially the honor of sharing that memory with my daughter.
In Jesus' name, amen.
“May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26 NIV
Happy summer, friends!
Best,
Michelle
